Here's a tip: If you don't think commanding a bunch of bots is fun... DON'T. Are you being forced to? No, just like you were never forced to do Henchway or forced to do VIMWAY or anything like that.

And what are you doing that others are not? Using cookie cutter builds? Anyone can spam "IWAY WAR LFG" or "STARBURST LF STARBURST GRUP LOL" and get a group.

heroes doesn't discriminate upon rank.

if more people weren't such elitists in HA there would be no need to
include them there. but with the way things are now, it's one of the
the very few ways a new unranked player can get into a team.

how can new unranked players get rank if everybody is only looking for
rank x+ in the first place?
how can out of the box thinkers without a full group try out experimental
builds when everyone else is spamming cookie cutters?

I stopped playing Tombs when IWAY started running rampant. (It was just boring to beat IWAY after IWAY.) The average PuG of my rank (r8) consists of ex-IWAY scrubs that don't know anything other than C+space. All of the "old" Tombs players I used to play with have moved on to GvG now and rarely HA. (Same with me, I rarely HA.) I'd rather take predictable AI over random scrubs anyday.

I have played GW since the release of Prophecies, and I have hardly ever been able to get into an HA group. My skill ingame has been seen and respected by other players, but according to the "leet" players of PvP, that doesn't mean anything to them because I don't have the rank to prove my skill. People may not agree with your build, and kick you for that reason alone, instead of talking to the guy and give him a chance to get on the same page with the team.

"OMFG, noob, stop wasting our time!" is the phrase that created your quandry.

For every "noob" that the elitists let pass by with an angry statement instead of a helpful gesture, their are 3 heroes now by his/her side. Who can pass up on the chance to play with people/non human AI who will never scream at you, judge you, or talk down to you for being wrong?

Do I feel PvP should have NPCs playing in their with human competitors looking for other human competitors...no, I don't think that should be the case. However, if the human players won't let you into the group, then you do what you got to do to get the job done.

If that means hench your way to HoH, then by all means, do so.
If the "Leet of the Leet" can't stop your heroes, then who lacks skill?

I think if you're team is getting beat by the kid with a hero team, then you should whisper him to find out what he did, and make a new friend!

After all the debate, i guess everyone got their own argument on whether heroes should stay in HA or not. My suggestion is to at least limit the number of heroes or henchy players can bring into battle so that the gameplay of HA wont be at least "pve" based rather more player-oriented and abusing of heroes' inhuman reflex can be reduced. I'm sure this will satisfy both parties (heroway vs real team) to certain degree. Whats you guys think? Start think of something that both sides can at least agree on something, maybe we can work something out..

Maybe you shouldn't be doing HA if you can't beat a team with henchies. You as real players still have an advantage so quit complaining. You foolishly claim HA got killed. News flash: It got killed when IWAY came in the picture long ago and since then it's been beating a dead horse. HA is nothing more than a fool's playground of cookie cutter builds for the most part.

the point here isn't losing or not vs npc teams, its about having to face those teams 90% of the time, it should be PvP not PvAI...

there's already a arena for Heroes battle, lets not turn all PvP into a npc feast.

No, it isn't there for "PvP" alone. The purpose of HA is to win for your country to gain favor of the gods for entrance to the Underworld. It isn't a random arena or team arena, the point isn't just for pure PvP sport. Deal with it, if you don't like it make hero teams yourself. With teams so demanding of players' builds it's a good break for others who aren't as experienced. I think what Anet did was a good choice and they obviously must have thought it thru, so I wouldn't count on the idea getting wiped out simply because there are cry babies who can't put up with it for no actual reason. It is not imbalanced, the heroes usually go after called targets, so real people can still run DUAL smite, Heroes as good as they are with reflexes in terms of interupts and such can't spike as well with humans anyways. You still have an advantage, grow up and quit whining.

Ok..

1. Unranked players are not "excluded" just people like to play with people with mroe experienced eg a rank 6 would like to play with poeple at his/her level

2. People dont mind being "slaughtered" by unranked teams.. there build may be counter to yours for al lyou know.

3. Its not that ranked players are supposed to be "leet" its that people enjoy playing againt REAL people which is what PvP is there for.. fighting real players, heroes ar not real players.

I enjoy playing PvP because of playing with/againt real players not to fight with/againt NPC's..

NPC's don't take away your right to interact with players, humans do, and there're plenty of reasons why people use heroes. That being said, I'd still like to see heroes' interrupting reflex nerfed a little, and limiting one hero per player in HA/GVG seems a good idea. But removing heroes completely from HA/gvg is not a solution, because in pvp real players are both assets AND source of problems, and heroes are there to minimize the latter.

On a related topic I cant get in any top 20 guilds, but I want to play top gvgs and pwn WM and evil, ooh and a a trip to a tourny would be nice.
But I can't do this, as all the top teams are being elitest and wouldnt let me join their guild.
Please Anet, please introduce something so that I can solo my guild to top 20!!!!
